Young cattle to the restocker finished considerably dearer off last week’s market, with steers selling from 390 to 500 cents and young heifers sold from 280 to 430c/kgs.

The limited grown steers and heifers were firm with prime grown steers selling from 420 - 440c/kg, while prime grown heifers sold from 410 - 465c/kg

2 and 3 score cows were 20 – 30 cents dearer to sell from 220 – 333 cents. Restocker cows were in strong demand to finish 55 cents dearer to reach a top of 324c/kg.  Prime high yielding cows finished 20 cents dearer to sell between 313 and 365c/kg, to average 342c/kg.
